Directorate of Financial Affairs

Overview

The Directorate is responsible for managing the financial affairs of the University Presidency and coordinating financial matters with the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. It also supervises all financial departments within the colleges and institutes, which include the following units:

Payroll Unit

Preparing and organizing monthly salaries for faculty and staff at the University Presidency using the Payroll System.
Recording monthly salary lists in the accounting ledgers.

Revenue and Fund Unit

Collecting revenues from the colleges and institutes affiliated with the University Presidency.
Collecting tuition fees from students in both academic tracks (Morning and Evening).
Processing receipts for the Pedagogy and Language centers.

Budget and Expenditure Unit

Receiving monthly advances, managing expenditures, and allocating funds to the university’s colleges and institutes.
Preparing the monthly trial balance for the Presidency and the consolidated trial balance for all colleges and institutes.
Managing the Kurdistan Financial Management System (KFMS) for all financial requests related to the Presidency and its affiliated colleges and institutes.
Processing payments for guest lecturers and extra teaching hours for both academic tracks.
Preparing reward lists for the publication of scientific research papers.

Planning and Follow-up Unit

Formulating the university's annual financial plan and identifying budgetary requirements.
Monitoring the implementation of investment and developmental projects across the university.
