Directorate of Sports and Physical Activities
Overview
Directorate of Sports Affairs is one of the directorates of Akre University for Applied Sciences for sports activities. This department is responsible for formulating sports strategies, organizing championships, and supervising the university's sports teams. The main task of the department is to build a healthy sports environment in which students, teachers and employees can develop their talents and strengthen the spirit of competition among colleges and institutes.

Our vision is to make Akre University a leading center in university sports in the Kurdistan Region and Iraq. This department works to make sports a part of the lifestyle of every teacher, employee and student, and through sports, our university has a strong representation in the local and international sports fields.
